How are Kraken Pro maker and taker fees different?
Kraken Pro uses maker and taker fees instead of the flat app fee. Limit orders that rest on the order book pay the maker fee. Market orders and orders that fill right away pay the taker fee. The rate drops as your 30-day volume rises, but stablecoin pairs, FX pairs, and app buys don't count toward that volume. Source: Kraken support: maker and taker fees. If you meet the referral trade with an instant buy in the app, the standard fee is 1% of the trade plus the spread. Your plan's trade amount is shown in the app. Kraken Pro limit orders usually cost less. Your final fee always shows on the confirmation screen.
