Looking for sports prediction apps in California where traditional sportsbooks aren't offered? Start with CFTC-style markets — Kalshi, Novig (code 79F933, 21+, CA OK), FanDuel Predicts, and DraftKings Predictions — plus pick'em apps PrizePicks (PR-X00IUIS) and Underdog (FREECASHPICK). Confirm age and location in each app.

Which prediction apps work when sportsbooks don't in California?
California does not offer licensed retail/online sportsbooks the way some other states do. That's why people look at CFTC-regulated event-contract / prediction-market products and pick'em / DFS-style apps instead. Availability still depends on your location, age, and the app's own rules — always confirm in-app before depositing.

How do CFTC prediction markets differ from pick'em apps?
- Kalshi, Novig, FanDuel Predicts, DraftKings Predictions are event-contract / prediction products under federal market rules — not the same product as a state sportsbook.
- PrizePicks and Underdog are fantasy-style pick'em products with their own state maps and age gates.
- Bonuses, credits, and geo-fencing change. Official terms on each app win.
